My life as a full-time nanny is over. It was the best job I ever had, and I'm sad that it's over. I'll have a new baby of my own soon, and it would be too hard to have a newborn and take good care of the three adorable monkeys so I had to say goodbye. This picture of me and Elliott was taken last week. Blair. Elliott. Henry. I'll miss you so much. Please don't forget me. When Ella is born, you guys should meet her. Just remember.... no dating until she's 16!

The Case of the Murdered Pumpkins
Earlier this fall, I went to the store and bought a family of pumpkins: a mommy pumpkin, a daddy pumpkin, and several baby pumpkins. They lived happily for about a week, and then to the sadness of everyone who saw them sitting outside our apartment, three of the baby pumpkins caught a terrible disease and died. That left just two baby pumpkins, the mommy pumpkin, and the daddy pumpkin. We thought that this awful tragedy might have affected the rest of the family, but thankfully, they hung in there together and lived peacefully for another three or four weeks. This morning, however, on our way back from church, Kevin and I became the witnesses to a horrible murder. We were walking along the sidewalk to our apartment complex when we saw the gruesome evidence:

Our pumpkin family was murdered! And on a Sunday morning! =( Poor, poor, pumpkin family. Who would do such a thing? They never bothered anyone, and they always gave you a warm welcome. We will miss you dear pumpkin family.

Months Go By
Okay, so I know I haven't really been good at keeping up with this thing (note that the date of this post is months away from my last one!). My pregnancy has been going well overall. The first trimester involved a lot of throwing up - in the toilet, in the sink, outside in the grass, beside the road. Gross, I know, but I'm thankful that it wasn't any worse. Sometimes I could go a whole week without throwing up, othertimes I wasn't as lucky. My second trimester was fine except for the stomachaches. Baby Eli is now "Baby Ella" because we found out through an ultrasound that our baby is a girl. =) Ella likes to kick really hard, and all that kicking and moving around makes my stomach sore. I am now in the third trimester, at 30 weeks, and am feeling great!
And sorry that the pictures are out of order. I went back and added two more and couldn't figure out how to move the pictures around on the page.

Amber Huston's Blog
It has been a long time since I've posted anything in a blog. I used livejournal in college and then got a blogspot my senior year but stopped posting after I met Kevin. My old blogspot address is amberglanville.blogspot.com, and if you care to read it, you will find that the last post mentioned a certain someone that I was "talking to." Well... that's Kevin. Fast forward 11 months. We are now married and recently celebrated our "six month commemoration." We signed a contract on a house in Durham, NC, that will close in November. And... I am 14 weeks pregnant!!! I thought it would be cool to post pictures and comment on how the pregnancy is going. Then, after baby Eli is born, I'm sure that there will be some interesting things to post about the new addition to our family. =) I'll try to post something about once a week, maybe more if you're lucky.
